Army Painter: Upcoming Zombicide Painting Sets Announced

Army Painter: Cool Mini or Not have partnered up with Kvasir Innovations & The Army Painter to develop and produce custom paint sets for the popular Zombicide Boardgames by Guillotine Games. This exciting collaboration will at first spawn two paint sets: The Zombie core paint set and a Toxic/Prison supplement paint set.

The two amazing paint sets are scheduled to be released at GenCon, August 2014.

Chern Ann Ng, Director of CoolMiniOrNot Inc.: CoolMiniOrNot started as a community website, a place where miniature painters could share their work, get feedback from their peers, and buy supplies. Often, The Army Painter paints were the top product suggested for people looking to get their colors just right. Since then, CoolMiniOrNot has expanded into publishing board and table top games, but we never forgot our roots, the hobby, and the community that helped us get to where we are now.

With that history in mind, we’re very happy to announce that we’ve partnered with The Army Painter and Kvasir Innovations in creating a unique paint set specifically for the Zombicide franchise. This is a wonderful opportunity to have the people behind some of the bestselling products from our retail store create a special paint set for one of our bestselling games. It may have been a partnership years in the making, but we believe the final result is well worth the wait.

Bo M. Penstoft, President of The Army Painter and co-founder of Kvasir Innovations: Let’s face it - Zombies are the new Black. Zombies have always been popular within movies but never before have they enjoyed such exposure as they do now in the boardgame, wargames and roleplaying hobby. Within The Army Painter, we have long flirted with the idea of a uniquely developed paint set for zombies – as the colours needed to hit the movie-tones spot on, were difficult to obtain. When Kvasir Innovations launched its special services last year we had the perfect platform to do both the research & development from. As Guillotine Games, the creators of the most popular zombie game ever, thought paint sets were a great idea, the zombie-frenzy within the company knew no end. We know there are thousands of Zombicide fans out there – and with the arrival of the new paint sets they will have a field day painting their walking (or running) dead!
