I have missed the intial launch but here's some more information about this kickstarter from RAFM in cooperation with the great band Abney Park in an attempt to create a range of steampunkish airship pirates to be used in wargames and RPG's. The range will incude some great sculpts based on the bandmembers of Abney Park so take a look at the kickstarter if you fancy some airship pirates.
RAFM: From the music of Abney Park and the writings of Captain Robert Brown a new line of miniatures for use with the Airship Pirates RPG. Rafm's Airship Pirate's Miniatures project is designed to kick-start the models in the line and get you the game models you want now!
As it turns out, miniatures are really expensive to produce. The sculpting and mold costs are enormous. In order to create this line, we can take our time by producing several new models over the next several years, or we can get support from the fans of Airship Pirates and launch a bunch of new ones as soon as possible. By the end of the year, we could possibly create two or three new figures to go with the eight models that it has taken over a year to produce. With this fundraising project we can produce the entire line in one year's time: new character models, and new monsters, all at once. We just need your support to make this campaign a success!
