Just this sneak peak of the first of the Skirmish Sangin figure range. A fierce and armed to the teeth NZ/Australian Trooper armed with Steyr, design by EBOB. The painted figure is Empress miniature just so you can see the size comparison.
Stay tuned as I will do a review of the Skirmish Sangin ruleset but as it's quite busy it can take a while so you're warned. But here's a small introduction: Skirmish Sangin is a new set of skirmish rules designed specifically for the Afghan conflict. Playing at an individual figure level, players get to feel the intenseness of adrenaline fuelled modern warfare, while still dealing with the responsibility of command. The rules are simple to learn, with games playable with a single squad aside, up to platoon level games.

Very nice sculpt!
The Steyr should have the butt plate tucked in close to the shoulder with the Magazine should be on the inside (bewteen the arm and body).
Holding the Steyr the way shown would lead to it being tangled with the arm and slower to bring to bring to bear on a target.
(At least that is how I was taught and it was used when I was serving in the Australian Regular Army).
Just my 2 cents but otherwise brilliant work as is all his sculpting :)
You're right Allan, I had never noticed that kind of issue but now that you mention it!
Thanks for the shared knowledge, cheers!
