The Gates of Antares: new sci fi game

Just found this new universe called Gates of Antares for a new game system from Dark Space Corp lead by Rick Priestly the man behind the Warhammer 40K rules. "It is the Seventh Age and human species have spread to the most distant reaches of known space –diversifying and evolving – adapting to all kinds of environments, from the chill of low-gravity asteroid mines to worlds where, beneath clouds of roiling sulphur, volcanoes spew boiling acid upon seas of glowing magma. None know or might even begin to guess the true extent of the great human Spill – as this ancient exodus is called. Human civilisation has fallen and risen a new many times, up until the current age: the Seventh Age – the age of the Concord of Humanity."

"Imagine playing a game where your victories contribute directly to the development of the gaming universe – and where your most successful and most spectacular characters become a part of the constantly evolving story!

GoA is the world’s first real-time dynamic gaming universe – a mighty statement! (and a bit of a mouthful…) Let us explain:

As you play the game and feed us the results of your battles (through our website or smartphone App), those results then change how we create, what we write, who we write about, what happens next and ultimately which of the rival species and factions receive rewards. Those rewards come in lots of shapes, including (but not limited to): New developments in weaponry and other armaments, access to ancient alien secret technologies providing local game bonuses, enhanced technology add-ons for vehicles and other equipment that boost your force’s performance, and the opportunity for your factions to be the first to open up new areas of Antarean space."

Interesting concept, will follow this with great interest!

Soo... If one team is overpowered from the start and win some matches they are given even better weaponry?

Also... That alien, to cool to wear armor or ranged weaponry?

I realize it’s just in its beginning but some things really make me think twice.

Could be an interesting game and concept and worth keeping an eye out for. They got some big names in there so I think they have the experience.

Hadn't thought of that but maybe they will include random events to even the balance when one faction becomes to powerful such as alien invaders, famine, natural disasters, virusses, ...

Cheers
