Perry Miniatures: Plastic Austrian Infantry News update!

Just saw this news from Perry Miniatures: "We're pleased to be able to show you the first shots of the plastic Austrian Infantry. These are fresh in. The sprue will need a little tweaking, not a lot, and it'll be ready. The command sprue is in it's last stages of tooling, so we should have the set available on time towards the end of September. There will be 48 figures in the box - plus flags, unit bases and a full painting guide - for £18.00. The command consists of an officer, standardbearer, drummer, sapper and two NCOs. All the figures in the box can be represented with helmets (the helmet was last used in 1809), shakos (used from 1809-15), or the Landwehr corse-hut, as well as seven heads with forage caps. Although the figures are designed for 1809 onwards as they have the 1808 higher-waisted coat, you could use them for the 1805 campaign if you ignore that detail…"

And welcome to the new guy in the block, Javier from Kensei, Zenith Miniatures!

I was lucky enough to hold one of the first off the mould miniatures at Partizan and the detail is spectacular.

Worth every penny- and they do cost pennies.

Don't get me wrong, I really do like the Perry and Victrix figures but I'm very lazy and really couldn't be bothered with the assembly work prior to painting!.. The do look very nice though.

Hi you're right about the victrix ones they almost drove me mad but the perry miniatures only come in two pieces, the bodies and bagpacks and are really fast and easy to assemble.

Cheers!
