Solvay Crafts and Miniatures: Tales from the Fall of the Empire

Tales from the Fall of the Empire, Part One is an updated and revised edition of part of the original, now out of print, Fall of the Empire sourcebook. The A5 24pp booklet contains information on the foreign policy of the major factions and the Great Powers, along with a new article on the Central European War of September 1938. Other sections include the Middle East, East Africa, the curious British expedition to Belgium, and we've added in the adventures of General Wynd-Grator, first published in the Gathering Storm (and also out of print).

Went The Day Well? New VBCW ruleset!

Just found this from Solway Crafts: Platoon-level rules for a Very British Civil War have just been released by Solway. Simon (Ook) Purdue has been developing these for a number of years, and they have already proved popular at a number of game weekends and shows. The rules have a lot of period and character feel (the title is taken from a 1918 epitaph popular on many war memorials in the interwar years), and although designed primarily for smaller actions, will comfortable handle up to company-level engagements. Releasing on 9th March. £8.00 GBP plus postage.

Solway are also re-releasing many of their flagsheets in 20mm, 15mm and 10mm in many periods from 16th-20th Centuries, and including a new range for English Counties in the VBCW. Sheets start from £0.99 GBP. And welcome to our new followers: James from the splendid Rabbits in my Basement blog, Peterson Michael from the Mad Padre Blog and Mwnciboo from the Stopping The Red Tide Blog. Welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay!

Solway Crafts and Miniatures: New VBCW Book releases

Solway have just released two new books in the popular 1938 VBCW series. The first is a new flag book covering the Royalist and reactionary forces, with superb artwork from Pete Barfield (the flags are also available from Solway at 28mm on cotton or paper).

The second book covers the developing story north of the border. The Armies and Enemies of the Scottish Republic covers the internal Scottish factions, including Army of the Scottish Republic, League of St Andrew, Shetland, The Lord of the Isles, The Red Clydesiders, and King Robert IV's Jacobites! Again, plenty of color, including plates by Pete Barfield. Both volumes are available now at £8.00 GBP each, plus postage.
